Experiencia fantástica: I just finished two weeks of classes at Mister Fox Spanish School in Pereira, Colombia, and it was a phenomenal experience. All of the teachers were excellent, but my primary teacher was Johana, and I have the highest praise for her. I really like the structure of the program. They take the time to understand your level, goals, and preferences, then personalize the classes around you. My Spanish has improved so much over the past two weeks that just yesterday, an Uber driver told me my Spanish is excellent and that I have an easy-to-understand accent. That never would have happened before my classes with Mister Fox. The school itself is very comfortable, in a safe location, and they’ll even make you a coffee if you want one. Back to the teachers. While all three of mine were excellent, I have to say more about Johana. She makes the classes fun and incredibly effective, but what really stands out is how much she cares about helping every student improve. I’m very thankful to have had the pleasure of being her student.

Experiencia fantástica: I took Spanish classes for 3 months at Mr Fox. Overall it was a great experience. The staff and teachers are great! They are friendly and helpful and want you to succeed. They are semi flexible with scheduling. The entrance test was a little complex but don't let that scare you. Once you start classes they move you into the best class suited for your level.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to this school for 2 weeks at the beginning of traveling in South America to get at least the basics of Spanish. My teachers Manuela and Johana have been so nice! Apart from class we had a really good time and they explained me grammar as well as cultural things in Colombia and answered all my questions. I can feel that my Spanish is getting better every day although it takes a long time and a lot of practice to learn a new language properly. I can totally recommend this language school!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been taking classes for a couple of months now, and I'm really enjoying the experience. The teachers are great, very patient and clear in their explanations. They make even the tricky parts of the language easier to understand.I also appreciate how they focus on grammar because that is where I struggle the most. The homework assignments are really helpful for practicing what we learn in class. I can see that I understand more now when I practice, which keeps me motivated.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been attending Spanish language classes at Mr Fox in Pereira for two months now. I find the school welcoming and located in a safe area. Their grammatic approach to everyday conversational Spanish is very helpful to putting it all together. I do plan on attending classes for 11 more months as I prepare myself for retirement in South America. My teacher has been very flexible with my learning style and building confidence in speaking Spanish. I find Pereira Colombia a lovely place to live with friendly people, perfect climate and great drinking water.

Experiencia fantástica: I have very much enjoyed learning spanish with Mr. Fox for the last 7 months. The staff is wonderful and friendly. I enjoyed both in person and remote education from Mr. Fox. I started with only very limited knowledge of the language and knew only the most basic of greetings. During my education, I think I progressed rapidly and I endorse their style and their cirriculum. In person, while in Colombia, interacting with instructors and with other students can be intimidating at first. There is not a better way to begin using Spanish regularly. Remote, learning has been a very good as well. Being able to continue my studies with Mr. Fox from the comfort of my own home was of great benefit. A special shout out to Gustavo for being an excellent teacher and I wish him only the very best that life has to offer! They have given me the best start in the Spanish language; both reading and speaking. Definitely recommended, would repeat.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been taking virtual Spanish lessons with Mr. Fox for about 4 months now. I love that Mr Fox lessons focus on grammar. They feel that vocabulary comes in time, which is true! I love and look forward to my lessons with Gustavo. He is a wonderful teacher who, is extremely knowledgeable not only in Spanish grammar, but in English as well. He explains in detail each lesson and makes practicing Spanish fun. I recently moved from USA to Medellin with one goal of learning Spanish. I searched all of Medellin for the perfect classes, and this is legitimately amazing. Flexible hours, availability in afternoon (which no other school seems to offer), plus online classes available too all at a reasonable cost. An added bonus is you're in the heart of Laureles which is an extremely safe and affluent neighborhood surrounded by friendly people and tasty restaurants. Take your language to the next level like I am. I took two weeks of classes with Brayan and have continued three more weeks with Julio. They have already brought me to a new level of Spanish that I couldn't do on my own. I plan to be here for the long term too until I'm fully conversational. That's how much I'm enjoying learning at Mister Fox.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently spent 8 weeks at Mr. Fox Spanish School. I was taking private lessons in Pereira, Colombia – 8am – noon, Monday to Friday. All my 3 teachers were perfectly bi-lingual which means that they could explain a topic or grammatical structures to me in English, before switching to Spanish. I had a lot of freedom and flexibility because of one-on-one arrangement. I could spend as much, or as little time on any topic. Not only this school gave me a solid grammatical foundation for my further studies of Spanish language, but everybody at the school was always willing to share tips on culture, travel, cuisine, and history of the coffee region of Colombia. I had a great time.

Experiencia fantástica: I love Mr. Fox. I’ve been taking classes with Valentina for over a year now: first online and now in person. She’s is a great teacher, tailoring the classes to my interests as well as helping me strengthen my *Colombian* Spanish (I started learning Spanish in Mexico & there are slight differences). I enjoy learning about politics and how the government infrastructure is run. My Spanish has improved significantly & even the folx in my apartment building have noticed. I also like that the school is blatantly queer-friendly. As a queer leftist, that’s really important to me. I’ve recommended them to friends and acquaintances & other “expats” coming to Colombia—whether you’re here for a short time or a long time, I don’t think you’ll find a better school.

Experiencia fantástica: I studied at Mr. Fox for about 6 weeks while in Medellin. I had the best experience. The classes were tailored to meet my individual needs. The teachers were all so kind and professional. I was grateful to have Gerald and Caroline as teachers. Both were incredible and went above and beyond in all aspects to ensure that I understood the material. They made the classes fun and interactive while providing the structure I needed to progress in my studies. I consider them lifelong friends. I would definitely recommend this school and these teachers.

Experiencia fantástica: I choose this school because a Colombian friend told me that Pereira is the best place to stay as a Tourist. The school is placed in a safe neighborhood and its close to a comercial center. The lessons really helped me to be better in Spanish. I take Spanish lessons for 2 years (Level B1) and yet I learned a lot from the face to face classes that started from the beginners level. The subjects and grammar is really well teached, the different types of exercises makes it more fun. What I like the most is that I learned some Colombian words that isn't often used in Spain. I really had a great time at Mr. Fox Spanish school. The people are very nice and also professional.

I have improved since beginning and like the structured format of lessons from Mr. Fox Spanish School. Lately I have been taking lessons from Katherine and she is a great teacher as well! I highly recommend Mr. Fox Spanish School, and look forward to taking in-person classes with them when I am in Colombia!

Experiencia fantástica: Mr. Fox Spanish School is a diamond in the emerald hills of Colombia. I recently completed four weeks of classes at the school in Pereira, Colombia. It exceeded all of my expectations. Valentina and Sebastian are excellent instructors and with the director, Juan José, they have created a wonderful learning environment. Classes are a balance of some pretty intense grammar instruction with an introduction to the culture and history of Colombia. My eyes were opened to the to complicated struggles of Colombia and my heart opened to its beautiful people. Mr. Fox Spanish School is highly recommended. The Cafe is a great place to hang out and the Sunday night language exchange is great place to meet others interested in learning languages and sharing experiences. Bravo! A+

Experiencia fantástica: I did the intensive package i.e. 4h x 5 days for a week and was very happy with it The pro: - The classes were great and follow a very structured curriculum - 1x1 is very intensive (I would probably recommend to do less hours per day for a longer time) - The classes are quite affordable - The location at the Circunvalar and the Café were really nice and allowed for a great daily schedule: classes in the morning, lunch break, self-practice at their café (they have great coffee and cakes) and go to a nearby gym The con: - I had 2 different tutors, which wasn't terrible, as they followed the same curriculum, but the difference in teaching experience between the two was noticeable

When I began, I had a pretty good handle on the Spanish language, but I wanted some more advanced classes to work on grammar — which I’ve struggled to find in the past. I have been very happy with the individual, personalized classes I’ve received from Juan José. He lets me choose the topics we work on and answers any questions I have, even outside of class time. He has pre-prepared material we use in class, which he sends me after, but he also will go “off-script” when I have additional questions. I would definitely recommend Mr. Fox to anyone wanting to study Spanish, no matter which level you are beginning at.

Experiencia fantástica: I took private lessons for 3 weeks and have been very happy with the quality and performance of my teachers, who went out of their way to help me to improve my Spanish. As the school is also operating a public coffee shop one casually mingles with other students and guests. Pereira and the surrounding coffee growing region are great places to explore. People are friendly, polite and helpful and It is safe.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been having a great experience taking in-person Spanish classes with Juan José and Laidy for the past few weeks. They are very accommodating with how they teach. The classes are tailored to what I want to learn. Each class has been very casual but very informative and practical. Best of all, they're experts in teaching the best Colombian slang, giving me a better appreciation of the Colombian culture. Also, they have great food and drinks at the cafe. Highly recommend visiting for their chai tea and carrot cake.

Experiencia fantástica: Had an excellent experience with Mr. Fox Spanish School. The one on one teaching style was conducive for learning Spanish at a rapid pace. I started classes as a true beginner and can now make fluid conversation in the language after only a few months of classes. My teacher cared about my progress and dedicated a lot of time to making lesson plans that were catered to my learning style. This helped with understanding the more challenging material. Definitely recommend to Spanish students of all levels who want to take their Spanish abilities to the next level or to learn from scratch like I did. 10/10!

Experiencia fantástica: I am very thankful for the opportunity that I have had being a student in Mr. Fox Spanish School since it's recent opening. Mr. Fox himself (Juan Jose) has been my Professor for around 1 year and we have never had a dull moment in our classes. I have used improper Spanish for a number of years in my place of work and travels abroad. My Spanish has now improved to the point that it is obvious that I have learned in an organized classroom setting. I would like to mention the convenience and flexibility in scheduling that Mr. Fox Spanish School offers as well. I constantly travel and work odd hours in my profession. I have no daily routine and have a very difficult time committing to times and dates for anything in my personal life. Because of this, I constantly change the times or dates of my classes with no issues at all from Juan Jose. He is always willing to cancel and reschedule the class based off of our upcoming schedules. I highly recommend giving Mr. Fox Spanish School a chance!

His English is very good, and he has worked with me to find a pace and approach that is producing results. I am grateful for our time and I enjoy the connection that we have made.

Experiencia fantástica: I studied with Mr. Fox for the best part of a year. I was initially hesitant to take part in online lessons as I had only taken in-person lessons in Colombia beforehand. I was taken back by the quality of the lessons with Mr. Fox, especially the time taken to understand my needs as a Spanish speaker & implement effective language. I learnt more online than I ever did in Colombia, and Mr. Fox deserves the credit for that! Great school, great teachers for a great price. What’s not to love?
