Experiencia fantástica: Heute am 20.02.26 geht mein Aufenthalt in der ECOS Sprachschule zu Ende und ich habe die Zeit hier wahrlich genossen! Ich habe richtig viel gelernt und das Land, die Leute und ihre Kultur von einer ganz anderen Seite kennengelernt. Als ich hier her kam hatte ich praktisch keine spanischen Sprachkenntnisse. Ich habe mich deshalb für zwei Wochen in der ECOS Sprachschule entschieden und habe einen Spanisch-Superintensiv-Kurs im Rahmen meines Bildungsurlaubs besucht. Der Kurs kostete pro Woche 300€. Dazu habe ich eine Unterkunft bei einer Gastfamilie gebucht und hierfür 300€ pro Woche bezahlt. Für eine Nacht extra habe ich 50€ bezahlt. Ich habe insgesamt 13 Nächte und 14 Tage hier verbracht und somit insgesamt 1250€ Euro ausgegeben. Und es hat sich wirklich gelohnt! Die engagierten Lehrerinnen und Lehrer haben mir in dieser kurzen Zeit alle notwendigen Grundlagen beigebracht, die mir eine einfache Konversation ermöglichen. Und das in so kurzer Zeit! Der Unterricht war gut strukturiert und didaktisch wertvoll aufgebaut, sodass es leicht war zu folgen und die Besonderheiten der Sprache korrekt zu verstehen. Ganz gleich ob Lehrpersonal oder Administration. Alle kümmern sich sehr gut um die Schüler und haben immer ein offenes Ohr für Feedback. Sie sind dabei authentisch, sehr freundlich und sind stets hilfsbereit. Das hat mich schon sehr beeindruckt. Alles in allem kann ich die ECOS Sprachschule nur weiterempfehlen und möchte mich auf diesem Weg für die zwei Wochen bedanken. Weiter so! ¡Muchas gracias y hasta pronto!

Experiencia fantástica: Tolle Sprachschule, super LehrerInnen und ganz tolle Atmosphäre! Die Gruppen waren klein (2-4 Personen), sodass man super mitarbeiten kann und man in seinem individuellen Tempo lernt. Die Unterrichtsstunden sind abwechslungsreich (von Grammatik über Konversation zu Lernen mit Spielen). Die zusätzlichen Tanz- und Kochkurse sowie wöchentlichen Exkursionen runden den Unterricht ab. Gerne wieder, es war ganz toll!

Experiencia fantástica: Great school which makes it easy to learn Spanish! I did one week of Spanish lessons and without knowing much Spanish before I can now have basic conversations. ECOs offers an unforgettable experience that is much more than just learning Spanish. Salsa classes, a city tour, cooking classes, catamaran tours etc. I especially want to thank Anna for the good time in and out of school! She is doing a great job!! Die Lehrpersonen sind sehr offen und sprechen über das Leben in Kolumbien. Es werden zusätzlich Aktivitäten wie Kochen, Ausflüge und Tanzen angeboten. Würde jederzeit wiederkommen.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely recommend this Spanish school! Everyone was super nice and attentive. The Spanish classes were perfectly structured and my teachers Tania and Francis always complied with the student's wishes. I also took salsa classes and they were amazing! I didn't know a lot of salsa to begin with, but the teacher Francis taught me with great care and patience. There are additional activities and cooking classes, that were a great addition as well. Experiencia negativa: Lehrer Top, Organisation flop Super motivierte, gute Lehrer! Leider verliert man 2 Stunden Unterricht (=10% der bezahlten 20 Stunden bei einer Woche) für den Einstufungstest, obwohl ich mich bereits als komplette Anfängerin angemeldet habe. Gerne in Zukunft bei kompletten Anfängern einfach weglassen. Zudem würden meinen Klassenkameraden 4 Unterrichtsstunden ersatzlos gestrichen aufgrund eines Feiertages. Verstündlich wenn hier Feiertag ist, aber dann entweder die Schüler nicht für diese Stunden Zahlen lassen oder Ersatz anbieten! Zudem wurde ich in eine Gruppe eingeteilt welche bereits 1 Woche Unterricht hatte, und konnte somit am Anfang kaum folgen. Also ich die vorangegangenen Themen selbstständig aufarbeiten wollte haben sie mir die Unterlagen dazu verwehrt, einfach nur lächerlich (man bezahlt 40 Dollar zusätzlich für Regestation und Material!) Entweder man bietet eine komplette Anfängergruppe an (ich habe extra bei der Anmeldung gefragt ob sie eine Anfängergruppe haben!) oder man gibt motivierten Schüler die Möglichkeit das verpasste aufzuarbeiten. Habe die Unterlagen schlussendlich von meinen super netten Mitstudenten bekommen, aber alle fanden das Verhalten der Schule unverständlich! Schule mit Schweizer- Touch? Wenn ich in der Schweiz als Dienstleister so auf meine Kunden einginge wäre ich mein Job schon lange los!

Experiencia fantástica: I spent three weeks here, (one of them I stayed with a family) and have really enjoyed myself. Teachers and facilities that you would expect from a German accredited school. Staying with a family just added another dimension to the experience. They match you with a family that suits. The lessons were well structured and I enjoyed learning with my 3 other classmates. The extra curriculum activities were fun. I feel I understand South America a little better and especially this little corner of Colombia. Thank you Team ECOS

Experiencia fantástica: ECOS bietet eine sehr interessante Kombination von Sprach- und Tanzschule mit vielen interessanten zusätzlich angebotenen Aktivitäten über soziale Projekte, Sport, Sightseeing an. Der Unterricht ist sehr gut und auf individuelle Bedürfnisse abgestimmt, abwechslungsreich, lustig und mit großartigen Lehrern. Getsemaní und das historisches Zentrum können bequem zu Fuß erobert werden. Die Schule hat mir ermöglicht, innerhalb von 7 Tagen sehr viel zu lernen und viele sehr unterschiedliche Dinge erleben zu können. Darüber hinaus war die Gastfreundschaft meiner Gastfamilie überwältigend. Die dringen notwendige Versorgung von Grundschülern mit einfachstem Unterrichtsmaterial in einem Armenviertel im Rahmen eines Sozialprojektes und deren Verteilung vor Ort bei Señora Lorenza hat mich nachhaltig beeindruckt und mir einmal wieder vor Augen geführt, wie wichtig und unabdingbar es ist, mit einfachen und geringen Mitteln direkte Hilfe vor Ort zu leisten.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a very good spanish school. I spent a month there and had a wonderful time. The school is well organized. The staff is nice, the teachers are professionals, the activites very cool and always on time. I also had private dance lessons with Francis (una chica very kind). Something very nice is the air conditioning in the school because it can get really hot depending the time of the year. I decided to stay with a host family chosen by the school and it was clean and confortable and they were very nice. The localisation is perfect. 10 minutes walk and you're in the neighborhood of Getsemani with its magical atmosphere with bars and restaurants. So if you want to improve your spanish and live a cultural experience meeting other students from different countries, I recommend this school without hesitation. Steve, 52 from Canada.

Experiencia fantástica: I would highly recommend Ecos as your choice of school. The teachers are excellent and they take the time to make sure you fully understand what is being taught. There are free activities 3 times a week where you can learn more Spanish, find out about the local culture, and interact with other students. At the end of each week you have an interactive session with the other students, in which you play games to improve your vocabulary. If I ever come back to Cartagena I would definitely return to Ecos.

Experiencia fantástica: Die Sprachschule befindet sich im Zentrum von Cartagena. Nah an der Altstadt und neben Getsemani. Die Lehrer sind alle sehr motiviert und man lernt in kurzer Zeit sehr schnell. Vorab gibt es einen Test, um das eigene Level festzustellen. Vormittags sind dann gemeinsame Stunden mit bis zu 4 anderen Schülern. Am Nachmittag wenn gewünscht dann Einzelunterricht. Super saubere Räumlichkeiten, tolle Aktivitäten 3x wöchentlich am Nachmittag und super Mitarbeiter. Klare Empfehlung an alle, die spanisch lernen wollen.

Experiencia fantástica: Je suis actuellement en voyage de 6 mois en Amérique du sud et je souhaitais prendre une semaine de cours d'espagnol pour avoir quelques bases car je n'ai jamais appris auparavant. ECOS m'a donné quelques bases pour pouvoir ensuite apprendre plus sur le terrain. Les professeurs et les cours étaient top. Cependant je recommande ce programme plus pour ceux qui veulent apprendre l'espagnol avec un bonne base grammaticale et pas forcément pour être opérationnel rapidement. Merci à vous pour cette super semaine. C'était très cool !

Experiencia fantástica: Tolle Sprachschule! Es ist eine kleine und sehr familiäre Schule mit guten und motivierten Lehrern. Zu Beginn wird ein Einstufungstest gemacht und dann werde entsprechende Gruppen gebildet. Besonders gut haben mir die kulturellen Aktivitäten wie Bachata Kurs und Kochstunde gefallen. Freitags gab es für alle Schüler eine gemeinsame Stunde, die viel Spaß gemacht hat. Für deutsche Arbeitnehmer vielleicht noch interessant: die Schule wird für Bildungsurlaub anerkannt. Ich kann sie sehr empfehlen und komme bestimmt wieder!!

Experiencia fantástica: Going to the Ecos spanishschool was the best thing we did. The staff are very professional and great teacher and as well very kind and caring. I could never imagine learning so much in only one week. Thank you so much everyone who works at Ecos. I highly recommend this school in Cartagena. It's worth going there just for this experience. In addition to the classes, everyday we had supplemental activities that supported our learning to speak Spanish and practice with local people. The family Ecos found for us to stay at was wonderful people. We live them and still keep in touch. They spent lots of time with us at meals and after school to practice our speaking skills. Experiencia fantástica: Von Mitte September bis Mitte Oktober 2019 besuchte ich die ECOS Spanishschool während 4 Wochen. Ich bin sehr begeistert von der Qualität der Schule, sie ist sehr gut organisiert und strukturiert, die Lehrer sind sehr gut ausgebildet und gestalten den Unterricht sehr aufbauend mit gutem Unterrichtsmaterial und helfen Dir, in Deinen Spanischkenntnissen voranzukommen. Auch das übrige Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, sehr zuvorkommend. Auch das Angebot neben den Klassen ist super: Kochkurse zu lokalen Gerichten, Tanzkurs für Latindances, pädagogische Exkursionen und Touren durch Cartagena. Sehr zu empfehlen! Muchas gracias!

Experiencia fantástica: ECOS is a great school. The teachers are very nice, and patient, especially important for a beginner student like myself. Whatever learning path you want to take ECOS can support you. You build a foundation in class and you solidify it out in the real world with guidance from the teachers, staff, and director, Leidy. If you want to learn about slave history, you can learn about that and visit Palenque, the first free town in the Americas. If you want to do volunteer work to support clean oceans, ECOS has relationships built to provide you with opportunities for that service. Neighborhood tours, social gatherings, class time follow-up - It's just a great school all around. And the air conditioning is good too, that's important!

Experiencia fantástica: This school provides everything a traveling student could want - new facilities, a variety of cultural immersion experiences and opportunities to connect, a great location, incredibly helpful and capable staff, and most importantly, high quality Spanish classes. I am an English-dominant bilingual and have tried many different schools while exploring Latin America over the years and this one stands out far above the rest. Because I had studied with Leidy previously and had such a good experience, I returned this most recent time and brought my family. I took advanced classes and my husband took beginner classes. Whatever your situation is, you will be in good hands. If you want to have drinks on the roof top - check. If you need help organizing child care and a cleaning service - check. We participated in one of their cooking classes - empanadas - and it was fun and something I can easily replicate at home. They have a variety of service-learning options too from environmental service to old folks homes. We chose to serve lunch in a soup kitchen. All these activities you do - your teach accompanies you! The support and service is unmatched. We also did the bird sanctuary excursion and were in awe of the variety and beauty of the birds.

Experiencia fantástica: I had such a good time in my Skype classes from ECOS Spanish School! I originally wanted to do the classes to prepare for an upcoming trip to Colombia. The trip got canceled a few weeks before we were supposed to go, but I certainly don't regret taking the classes! All of the professors, especially Victoria, were super kind and professional and made me feel right at home (no pun intended) even when my spanish wasn't the best. And I learned so much more about spanish throughout these classes, whether it was how to use the Pretérito Pluscuamperfecto, or how to describe things effectively in spanish when I don't know the name for them. I feel so much more confident speaking Spanish thanks to my Skype classes with ECOS, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone!!!

Nicht nur dass das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis unschlagbar ist und die Qualität des Unterrichts höchst zufriedenstellend war sondern dass auch eine fast familiäre Atmosphäre dort herscht und deshalb somit meine Erfahrung zur einem 5 Sterne Bewertungs Paket bündelt. Die inkludierten Koch und Tanzkurse plus das Seightseeing haben diese Erfahrung perfekt abgerundet. Es war nicht nur ein Spanischkurs sondern ein eintauchen in die Kultur Kolumbiens/Cartagenas woran ich mich immer wieder gerne erinnere. Wie gesagt: klare EMPFEHLUNG!

Experiencia fantástica: Super persönliche und professionelle Schule! Ich wäre gerne länger wie eine Woche geblieben, denn nur schon in einer Woche konnte ich sehr viel lernen. Ich habe es total geschätzt, dass der Unterricht so persönlich war - meistens hatte ich Einzelnunterricht. Es war sehr gut, da die Lehrer einfach meine Grammatik Lücken stopfen konnten und ich nicht alles ganz von 0 auf lernen musste. Wir haben sehr viel Regeln im Schnelldurchlauf angeschaut, und sobald ich sie verstanden habe sofort mit dem nächten Thema weitergemacht. Die Lehrer sind wirklich sehr professionell und modern und können sich total gut an jeden Schüler anpassen. Die Stadttour und die Cooking, und Salsa Klasse hat mit auch sehr sehr gut gefallen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder in diese tolle Sprachschule gehen, wer weiss vielleicht ja bald! Extraño mucho la ciudad y espero que puedo volver pronto!

Experiencia fantástica: I joined ECOS for 2 weeks to get some spanish basics to travel 5 months in latin america. It was the right decision! They do a great job at this school. Learning feels like spending value time with close friends and the school offers far more but language lessions (like cooking, Salsa, city trips, cutural insights, ..). I am especially grateful for the flexible concept offered which guarantees you improve fast according to your indiviudal skills and intentions. Special thanks to Victoria who conducted my personal success wisely and smartly, but also to Angelica: both are great, heartily professional profesoras.

Experiencia fantástica: The school gave me a happy and safe place to be when I was living in Colombia for three months. I loved a lot of the teachers and I feel that they really helped me improve my Spanish and learn about the Colombian culture. I love eco-school and especially the cooking classes! They were amazing! The price is better than any school in the area and it is in Manga which is nice because it is a nice residential neighborhood Outside of the tourist center which I really liked!

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend this school, not only for learning Spanish language but also for learning Colombian culture. The school provides dance, cooking and a cultural tour every week. I also went to volunteer at a foundation thru the school affiliation with the charity. I actually initially bought 2 weeks of instruction but I really enjoyed the staff and the all experiences so I bought 2 more additional weeks. A warm And welcoming environment combined with actually learning language and culture at the same time is more than I thought I would receive. There are other options for schools but I feel this is the best for an all around experience with everything included. The facilities are new and clean, and I enjoyed the air conditioning! My favorite experience was going on the cultural tour of the Bazurto market where we purchased the ingredients for the cooking class of the week. Thank you to ECOS for everything!! Hauptsächlich verdanke ich das ECOS, eine kleine und familiäre Sprachschule inmitten von Cartagena. Alle Lehrer sind mit viel Leidenschaft und Elan dabei und nehmen sich viel Zeit um ihre Sprache, Spanisch zu vermitteln. Die kleinen Klassen und die regelmässigen Kulturausflüge mit der Schule waren toll. Ich kann die Schule in jeder Beziehung weiterempfehlen, insbesondere weil ich auch noch jetzt via Skype-Klassen mit der Schule in Verbindung bleibe und meine Sprachkenntnisse weiter verbessere.

Experiencia fantástica: I very much enjoyed my month of classes at Ecos. As a Spanish professor, I wasn’t looking for instruction; just conversation classes. The people at Ecos were very accommodating. I got just what I wanted: enjoyable and interesting conversation classes with a variety of well-trained instructors. Thank you to all at Ecos!

Experiencia fantástica: My experience at this school was amazing! from not knowing hardly any spanish, I improved so quick, especially due to the fact that they have excellent teachers. I have to name Victoria especially because she does her work with so much dedication and explains every problem or confusion that came up precisely and with lots of patience. The whole concept of this language school is well thought threw and you can learn so much more than just spanish, e.g. culture, dancing, cooking, colombian joy for life,... Thanks to the whole team for this great experience and their passion for their work! :) ps: will be back soon!

Experiencia fantástica: Great Spanish school with lovely people. Besides Spanish we also learnt a lot about the Colombian culture, its people dancing Salsa and the (mostly fried ) typical food. We can warmly recommend ECOS.
