Experiencia fantástica: So glad I found this school! It’s conveniently located in a great part of town with lots to do. The teachers are all locals so you get lots of cultural learning opportunities mixed in with the class work. Robinson the founder had been truly invested in me learning Spanish and is super hands on. He also has personally taken the headache and guess work out of the visa process which was super daunting for us at first. Couldn’t be happier with our decision to pick El Dorado!!

Experiencia fantástica: El Dorado has been an excellent option for me living and learning in Colombia. Robin is always very helpful with anything you need to know and with helping the visa process and is a great teacher. I have really enjoyed the classes I have had - particularly the mix of conversation and practical learning. Additional resources - interactive games etc make the learning fun also. I have had lovely classmates too :)

Experiencia fantástica: I'm having an amazing time with this school and the teachers. I'm following the 20 hours program (renewable). The teachers are native and extremely competent, the books are also well-structured (theory, and then comprehensive exercises). Each them is revised multiple times, so that we make sure it's assimilated. And I also had some very nice conversation lessons. I highly recommend El Dorado.

The teachers are enthusiastic and care a lot about your progress, the classes are a mixture of grammar, speaking, reading and listening so you learn every aspect of the language. This school is also a great choice if you want to obtain a visa in Colombia to study and immerse yourself in the culture.

I was hesitant at first, as I hadn't had the best experience with other language schools in the past. However, I found that the teachers care a lot about helping you reach your goals and personalize your classes, which made me want to continue my lessons here. Also, the teaching methods are far from boring; they use a lot of interactive techniques and a mix of speaking, reading, pronunciation, and grammar, which I really enjoy. Other agencies told me it's impossible and only universities can grant me a visa for 1 year but I did it anyway with El Dorado and I was successful. You can rely on them 100%

I started classes with minimal comprehension of Spanish and my communication skills have improved more and faster than I thought possible. Experiencia fantástica: I took private classes for 4 weeks during my stay in Medellin. Their pricing is very good and my Spanish improved significantly. The staff is personable, friendly and knowledgeable. The classes are 1.5 hours long and run Monday through Thursday, which leaves much time to enjoy the city and its surroundings. Definitely worth it!

I arrived in Medellín with zero knowledge of Spanish, but after a 24-hours private-course I now feel way more secure in the language and are able to communicate in everyday conversations. Experiencia fantástica: The teachers and the administrators at El Dorado were excellent, friendly, and helpful always and in all areas where anyone might need help. The teachers were very good at teaching, knowledgeable about the grammar, and patient. I learned so much and enjoyed all of it. Rest assured you will be well taken care of at El Dorado. Envigado is also an excellent place to take clases. It has a local Colombia feel to it, is safe, everyone is friendly, and it is easy to get around either by walking or with local public transportation.

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend El Dorado for thoughs wanting to learn how write, read and SPEAK Spanish! I was studying here 2 months with a group and got steady results until I went to EAFIT to see how well there courses were. However I didn't like how unpersonalized it was and didn't get that much help from a teacher. I came back to El Dorado for private lessons and in another two months was able to understand texts and write in Spanish. More importantly to speak proberly in the correct tense. I sincerely recommend learning at El Dorado

I’m 63 years old and have only been exposed to minimal Spanish before. Upon entering the program I was skeptical on my ability to learn Spanish and keep up. They have by far exceeded my expectations. Johan is my instructor and he has put together a program that fits my needs and my learning curve. It’s very challenging, but also fun. Arriving 3 weeks ago with very basic Spanish, I now leave thanks to my professor Julio capable of having a conversation in Spanish. The great thing about El Dorado is hoe flexible they are with the times that they teach you. They ask you what time you want, instead of telling you it has to be this time. Experiencia fantástica: I intended to take a week of private classes at El Dorado, but I ended up continuing for an entire month. I was hesitant at first because my Spanish was already quite advanced, but I was amazed at how much I was learning so I decided to continue with my awesome teachers, Adriana and Johan. That's the difference between El Dorado and other Spanish schools I've attended. The teachers here are true professionals and experts of their native language. They prepared interesting classes and even customized topics based on my requests. Their enthusiasm was something I hadn't found at other schools in Medellin. If I could, I'd give them 6 stars.

Experiencia fantástica: I switched from another school as I wasn't having a good experience. El Dorado gave me exactly what I needed. I emailed them my 3 main problem areas and the teacher focused on those in my private classes. I was impressed with the exercises and the homework which were clearly planned out and specifically geared to my level and challenged me to improve. All the staff were locals and were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this school. Also in a wonderful neighbourhood!

Experiencia fantástica: A fantastic Spanish school in Medellin! I spent around 3 months here learning Spanish with a really incredible teacher and I highly recommend it. The course was really comprehensive and prior to starting lessons I had almost no spanish skills. Now I feel comfortable being in Spanish speaking country, I still have a long way to go but I can converse and get around. My teacher provided plenty of guidance and help and most importantly the confidence to start speaking! We covered a lot of material and were always asked if there was anything specific we wanted to learn. The staff are all very friendly and the facilities of the school are great. The location (Envigado) is a great, it is a bit more local and authentic than the 'tourist hot spots' of Medellin. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby and easy to access with public transport, taxi or walking if you live nearby! They also have a weekly conversation club at different locations around Medellin. If you are looking for a Spanish school-whether to start from scratch or to further your skills I highly recommend El Dorado!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I like the methodology because it's possible to mix speaking, writing and leasing in the class. Additionally, the books contain a very complete documentation about grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Finally, I like too much the native English teachers.

I am backpacking through South America, so my time was limited but I feel like I improved a lot. I want to give a special thanks to the staff - they are super great and helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: Each lesson is customised to enhance the learning outcomes of each student. The learning resources are tailored to suit each student’s learning strengths. No text book required. The teachers at the school are fantastic. They are the main reason why students continue to come back time after time lessons. Each student will look forward to each lesson in a warm and energetic atmosphere that is created by the teacher. The lessons offered by the school are not the ancient method of teaching languages, where grammar is the focal point of all learning. This method can make learners quite fearful of learning new languages. After experiencing something similar to this methodology at local universities, students at the school have decided other Spanish learning institutions.
